Who wouldn’t have wondered yet while scanning the starry sky about the mysterious world of seemingly distant celestial bodies? We invite our guests to an exciting “space trip” with telescopic sky-gazing and captivating performances on Saturday of the Charming Weekend, to a truly authentic venue, the Theresa Chapel!
Travel guides of the sky: László Kiss, academician and Széchenyi Prize-winning astronomer, and Krisztián Sárneczky, asteroid and comet explorer astronomer
Location: on the Theresa Hill, at the Theresa Chapel

Viewing our central star through a telescope during the day (meanwhile meteorite demonstration)
Lecture, starting at 3:00 p.m.: Krisztián Sárneczky: Hungarians in the Milky Way and the Andromeda Nebula: exploding stars from Berta Dégenfeld Schomburg to the discoveries in the Piszkés-tető.
8.00 p.m. - 10.00 p.m.
Discovering the wonders of the night sky after sunset (meanwhile meteorite demonstration)
Lecture, starting at 8 p.m: László Kiss: Where is everyone? New developments in extraterrestrial life research
3.00 p.m. - 10.00 p.m.
Accompanying programs: gastro-picnic at the Theresa Chapel and light show (after sunset)

As part of the gastro-picnic, our chef prepares fabulous street-food-like dishes, which can be consumed on-site, of course with Gróf Degenfeld wines!

Official bonfire lighting of the Charming Weekend
We can keep the programs in case of good weather conditions. In case of bad weather, the lectures and the gastro-picnic will be held at the Gróf Degenfeld Castle Hotel★★★★ Superior, supplemented by additional lectures. Any program changes will be posted at https://grofdegenfeld.com/en/hotel/events.
Participation fee on the astronomical programs:
From the age of 18, 3000 HUF / person, which includes a glass of wine.
For children from 6 to 17 years of age, 1000 HUF / person.
Free for children under the age of 6 years.
Participation in the accompanying programs is free of charge.
