The harmony of special wines and dishes at our autumn wine dinner
18. November 2010.We held our wine dinner to close this year's season on November 13th at the Gróf Degenfeld Castle Hotel.
As it was so close to St Martin's Day we also prepared goose dishes reminiscent of this autumn festival. The food specialities were presented by Attila Solymosi, the hotel's head chef, while the splendid Eger and Tokaj wines served with the dinner were introduced by Thummerer Cellar's winemaker, József Lamport, and Gróf Degenfeld Winery estate manager Miklós Prácser. The feedback offered by our guests suggest we also managed to successfully demonstrate the harmony between the wonderful wines and delicious foods.
We plan to hold our next gastronomic event in March.
