Wines
In addition to the Tokaj-Hegyalja traditional speciality wines (Szamorodni, Fordítás, Aszú) the estate also produces excellent semi-sweet and sweet, as well as dry and semi-dry wines from the traditional grape varieties of the wine region: Furmint, Hárslevelű and Muscat Lunel. The Gróf Degenfeld family are believers in the Tokaj traditions and are proud to associate their name with their wines striving for first class quality.
Following the family tradition, the principle of "The duty of nobility", the estate makes no compromises in their expectations of quality they follow the strict quantity limits and guidelines for the vineyards, bunches and grapes selection.

Method of production
We chose the Furmint grapes from the Galambos vineyard for this wine. The weather of this year ensured high sugar content at the harvest and about 50% of the grapes were botrytised. After gentle pressing we fermented the must in stainless steel tanks and then matured the wine in barrels from Szerednye.
Tastes
The wine has a straw yellow colour and an oily character in the glass. Hints of sour cherry in the scent can be discerned with the fragrance of apricot. Upon tasting, the peach notes are emphasised, melting almost like candied sugar, enveloping the mouth with these playful tastes. A long finish – the full flavour of the wine can be savoured for minutes. Serve at 9 oC.

We suggest this as an accompaniment to sweet, fruity desserts.
